Mark Ransom artist spotlight
Artist of the Week
Welcome back to the Mark Ransom art blog. In today's post we will be appreciating the art of Giacomo Valentini. Giacomo Valentini began painting at 15 as the only pupil of Fratel Venzo, but distanced himself from traditional oil painting and his master’s influence early on. After a long hiatus, he returned with a graphic style shaped by years of reflection, travel, and exposure to Japanese aesthetics.
In 2015, he led the "Neo Japanesme" group to innovate on centuries-old Japanese artistic traditions. In 2018, he pioneered "Carbon Art," using carbon fibre to create durable, sculptural, and highly technical works that merge art and design. Throughout his career, Valentini has remained a restless innovator, blending global influences with materials and formats that challenge conventional boundaries.
His art is striking, and some of it is quite dark, using black as the background and gold strokes. Examples of this include Étincelle d'Émotion and Mélodie Éphémère. Here are some photos of his work from the Mark Ransom art gallery. These are available to buy via the Strartgy website. Make sure you leave us your comments on the work and subscribe and follow the blog for more coming soon. If you are an art lover, or just have good taste, you are in the right place!
