In today's artist spotlight, we showcase an exciting artist by the name of Alexander Calder. The works below are from the 1970's but have a modern day appeal. Calder revolutionized modern art through his innovative three-dimensional kinetic sculptures, which were famously dubbed “mobiles” by Marcel Duchamp. Drawing inspiration from Futurism, Constructivism, and early non-objective painting, Calder’s mobiles feature vibrant, abstract shapes crafted from industrial materials, delicately suspended in harmonious balance.
